Le livre "l'Avion du Président" écrit par le journaliste d'investigation Camerounais Boris Bertolt plonge dans les méandres d'une affaire grotesque et rocambolesque, l’un des plus gros scandales financiers et politiques du Cameroun, une affaire qui révèle la vraie nature d'un système autocratique et répressif, qui broie ses meilleurs serviteurs.Cela lui vaut les pires procès.

En août 2001, dans la plus grande discrétion et sur instruction de Paul Biya, Marafa Hamidou Yaya secrétaire général de la présidence de la République engage le processus d’acquisition d’un avion pour le chef de l’Etat. Il s’agit d’un BBJII. Une entreprise, GIA International a été retenue pour servir d’intermédiaire entre l’Etat du Cameroun et le constructeur américain Boeing. Alors qu’il est question de verser dans un premier temps deux millions de dollars afin que Boeing puisse lancer la construction de l’avion, Michel Meva’a m’Eboutou, ministre des Finances décide de virer 29 millions de dollars dans les comptes de GIA International. L’entreprise américaine utilisera cet argent pour acheter deux avions qui seront mis en location à la CAMAIR dirigé par le fils du milliardaire de Bandjoun, Yves Michel Fotso. En mars 2002, date de la livraison du BBJII, il n’y a ni avion, ni argent.

Alors que le processus d’acquisition du BBJII se poursuit, le 24 août 2002, Marafa Hamidou Yaya est remplacé au secrétariat général de la présidence de la République par Jean Marie Atangana Mebara. Ayant pris connaissance du dossier, ce dernier décide de suspendre les négociations avec GIA International et de négocier directement avec Boeing. Lorsque l’avion est à nouveau prêt chez Boeing, sa réception est reportée à trois reprises. Au final elle n’aura jamais lieu.

Au mois de juin 2003, alors que l’avion est posé dans les ateliers de Boeing et en attente de paiement, Paul Biya renonce à l’acquisition d’un BBJII et opte pour un 767. En attendant qu’un 767 neuf lui soit livré, Atangana Mebara porte son choix sur un avion appelé « l’Albatros » qui devait être utilisé en location par le couple présidentiel. La suite de l’affaire on la connait. En voyage pour assister à un sommet sur le bassin du lac Tchad à Paris, les roues de « l’Albatros » peinent à rentrer, Paul et Chantal Biya sont pris de panique. Mais plus de peur que de mal. Tout rentrera très vite dans l’ordre, mais Paul Biya ne montera plus jamais dans « l’Albatros ». Certains membres de son entourage affirmeront qu’on a tenté de le tuer.

• I downloaded the sample the day before I had an interview. I didn't get around to read it until the morning of. After finishing the sample I had gathered enough useful info to purchase the whole book. I wish I had started a couple days before my interview or even a week before. It gives you lots of useful info on the whole process and how to come in prepared and not make a complete fool of myself. I had not been in an interview in over 20 years and I think it went well thanks to some basic info in here and knowing that you are prepared. Be kind.
• Not enough substance. Boasts about giving you all you need to know for an interview in 90 minutes, but there is so little concrete, useful information you could glean all it has to offer in about five or 10 minutes. Save your $5. You can learn more from a quick google search on how to succeed in a job interview than you will learn from this guide.
• I found this guide to be a very interesting read.
  
  Although a little lengthy, once I read the sentence “An additional goal of interviewing is to provide lifestyle insurance for you and your family.” made me want to read more.
  
  What I liked about this guide is that it didn’t just dwell on the questions and answers; it also touched based on the thought process and how to be proactive/productive in your career path.
• 90 mini to complete? Not really. In order to complete the MANY potential interview questions thoughtfully and accurately you will need about a week. Decent advice.
• I conduct heaps of interviews every year. Many of these are along side recruiters and HR representatives. Should a candidate heed the advice in this guide in an interview, they’d knock it out of the park.
• Great book if you are interviewing. The book covers wide array of situations but the most important part is that no matter the industry, you can utilize the info for your advantage. Using this book, I was able to turn a drilling interview into a conversation. Because at the end of the day it should be a two way road and a good fit for both parties. Definitely recommend it.
• Great book to have while you're job searching. Most of the questions I needed to ask myself about some of the jobs I was applying to. I really wasn't sure what my ideal answers were until I could literally frame the questions. Definitely a must read!
• It gave me ideas of questions I can ask when I’m interviewing. It gave me insight into a candidate’s internal process when interviewing for a job.
